As we move into the New Year, we’re also sharing how our work will evolve in 2026.
Based on five years of field experience and operational constraints, GASO will focus on four core initiatives designed to strengthen evidence, accountability, and system-level understanding — without increasing risk or visibility for those involved.
Our 2026 focus areas:
• Mapping & Satellite-Based Monitoring
Evidence-grade documentation of scam-linked trafficking infrastructure across Southeast Asia, tracking active, shut-down, and relocated sites over time.
• Structural Analysis of Scam Monetisation Pathways (Advisory-Validated)
System-level analysis of how scam operations sustain revenue, informed by survivor-derived data and reviewed by external financial-crime specialists.
• Applied Research on Scam Platform UI Template Reuse and Infrastructure Linkage
Technical research showing how scam platforms reuse designs and deployment infrastructure, converting fragmented cases into verifiable system linkages.
• Publications
Clear, evidence-based analysis translating field and research findings into material that supports informed policy discussion, media accuracy, and public understanding.

These initiatives reflect a deliberate shift toward documentation, analysis, and durability.
Wishing everyone a steady and grounded start to 2026.
Happy New Year.
